‘Refugee’ Update Here in the U.S.

Although I receive dozens of updates on the ‘refugee program’ every week, I’ve chosen to (re)post just a handful of them to give you an idea of how it’s going.  I think the conclusion you come to is, we’re going to be in trouble soon..?

High Costs of Resettling Refugees

Don’t you feel fortunate being able to spend a LOT of our tax dollars supporting non-working ‘refugees’ here in America who typically don’t even support our way of life?  Especially when it costs so little to support them in their current neighborhood.

Norway’s Boarder Fence

Who says the Russians are dummies?  They’ve obviously figured out their refugee problem.

More Refugees and More MONEY for FY2017

Take note of the number of ‘refugees’ they plan on adding in 2016 and 2017.  Click on the RCUSA link to read the actual text.  And when you read their projected numbers consider this, the generally accepted bottom number estimate for fundamentalist or radicals is 13%.  Do the math and ask yourself how long it will take for this country to be one big war zone..?

If you think we’re not under attack, you’ve obviously not been paying attention.  Our own government has been keeping the boarders open for decades letting ‘illegals’ come into the U.S. for a reason — not necessarily the ones you’ve heard.  People have argued for some time ‘why’ this has been allowed — by the left and the right.  Now we’re bringing people into this country that should be an obvious threat to the well-being of the U.S. citizens.

Regardless if you agree with my view as to the ‘why’, one thing should be clear and not arguable — our country is changing into a third world environment.  Fast!!

I recognize you can’t do anything but vote people into office to alter our course.  But I’d suggest you also prepare for what’s next.

The Millennials On Campus

If you are over 40 and ever went on a college campus, you might have seen somewhat of a ‘liberal’ behavior.  In the evening it may have appeared even more ‘extreme’ regarding behavior.  It would seem that our kids today have lost all restraint and believe there are no limits to their actions in public.

The following article shows how a TEXAS campus with thousands of kids are behaving in today’s society — in a world where the ‘educated’ are demonstrating to the ‘others kids’ (i.e., less fortunate) how to behave.  Pretty scary.

Russia’s Ambitious Plans

In my recent post ‘U.S. Military Readiness‘ I discuss our military readiness — which is not good.  If there was nothing but peace and tranquility in the world it wouldn’t matter.  But we have anything but peace in the world.  Besides the middle east being on fire, and now Turkey getting sucked into the ‘mess’, Russia is now making its moves toward world war.

Putin being an ex-KGB high ranking agent, has plans to reinstate the Soviet Union and to become the world power that he has always believed it should be.  Besides building up the country’s military might, he has already taken Crimea and is now moving forward to the Ukraine.  The following article describes his current actions plus the nuclear capabilities that Russia has developed over recent years.

The good news is, we may not be worried about the economy much longer.  But that problem may get replaced with yet a bigger one..?

Russia & The Ukraine

I’m sure there are some military types that will argue the capabilities of Russia vs. America, but we all know that ‘the administration’ has pretty much crippled our military.  Unless ‘someone’ picks up the gantlet and gets our ‘act together’ quick, we could be in serious trouble in the near future..?

U.S. Military Readiness

At one time our military was the greatest and most powerful in world history.  However over the last few decades our military status has eroded greatly.  Our current president (king/monarch) has disabled the military to a degree that many would not believe.  We now have air force bases with planes that don’t fly and those planes that do, don’t have pilots.

But as hard to believe as that is, some of our newest and technological examples are now falling behind in the technology race and aren’t even ready themselves.  Like what you ask??  Read the following article.  I think we should be worried given the Russian and Chinese antics in recent years.

‘The Great American Eclipse’ — God’s Billboard

Being one of those ‘seniors’ everyone talks about, I have seen a lot in my lifetime.  But given the last few years, I have seen and heard about more astronomical events than I have in all my lifetime combined.

Recently we had the occasion of  the ‘Four Blood Moons‘ and the ‘Harbinger‘ as two examples.  Now we are about to experience something that hasn’t occurred over America in a long time — a total eclipse.  But like the other phenomena, the dates are important.

The rise of America was a historical world event.  It was the first country to be founded on real freedom and was documented in our constitution of which was effectively cast in concrete (until recently).  But this didn’t just happen at any time in history.  It happened in a specific year (without picking documentation nits).  That year was 1776.

Considering God uses astronomical events as his ‘billboard’ to announce ‘things’, could it be possible that he is using his ‘communications system’ to tell us something — again?!  Now with that lead-in as a setup, please read the following article and ask yourself, “Is God trying to tell us something?”

The ‘Great American Eclipse’

For several years I’ve been telling my wife that the summer of 2017 was going to be very memorable.  Little did I know that it would be that memorable..?! I just hope there’s no crazy jihadi group out there with an EMP to detonate on August 28th..?

All I can say is what I’ve been telling people in the last year or so . . .  prepare.

Tactics and Techniques of the Left

Have you ever wondered where our leadership get their tactics?  Do you see any common behavior in Obama and Clinton?  Did you ever wonder where they got their ‘training’?  The answer is their mentor — Saul Alinsky.

Although you may have heard the name before, many people are not really familiar with him, his history, successes, or techniques.  To learn everything you need to know, listen to the following audio files.  They’re only a few minutes each, but well worth your time.  After listening to them you should see how we got to where we are today and who is responsible.

Saul Alinsky Part I

Saul Alinsky Part II

Saul Alinsky Part III

Saul Alinsky Part IV

If you listened to at least half of these files, it should be clear who is ‘fundamentally transforming’ our country and why.  The only question left now is, who’s next and what can we expect to happen next?!

The War On Our Kids

In recent years we’ve seen an unbelievable assault on the healthy morals of this country.  What has been unacceptable in the past, is now considered ‘normal’ today.  Understanding that progressivism has made some progress in our country, should we not be reviled by the assault on our kids!

Please read the following regarding the blatant attack on the Christian values of our youth.

Children Under Siege – From After School Satan Clubs To TV Entertainment

News Image

By Tom Olago August 17, 2016

Children and youth are under a sustained spiritual siege. Indications are that there is a multi-pronged attack for the hearts and minds of the young; a concerted effort to capture their spiritual attention and mold their moral allegiances right from their earliest days.

One vivid example of this trend was recently reported: the opening of ‘After School Satan Clubs‘ by The Satanic Temple for children as young as five years of age.  Harry Farley for ChristianToday.com explained that the organization has billed the extracurricular option as a challenge to evangelical Christian after-school programming which they say has infiltrated America’s elementary schools.

“It’s critical that children understand that there are multiple perspectives on all issues, and that they have a choice in how they think,” said Doug Mesner, the Satanic Temple’s co-founder, according to The Washington Post. Mesner also goes by the professional name of Lucien Greaves.  [Note that Lucien seems somewhat close to ‘Lucifer’.]

As Farley noted, however, The Satanic Temple is not shy about who its real target is. The secular after-school clubs are being targeted at elementary schools where there are currently Christian programs known as the Good News Clubs.
“While the Good News Clubs focus on indoctrination, instilling children with a fear of hell and God’s wrath, After School Satan Clubs will focus on free inquiry and rationalism,” Greaves said. “We prefer to give children an appreciation of the natural wonders surrounding them, not a fear of an everlasting other-worldly horror.”
Franklin Graham, the outspoken evangelist, wasted no time in offering his response to the announcement. He said America was “already seeing the devastating effects of secularism everywhere” and called on followers to pray for Greaves’ “eyes to be opened to the truth of the Gospel and his own personal need of a Savior”.
Another initiative targeting the youth utilizes the ever-popular media channel of television. In a recent article for the Christian Examiner, Michael Foust reported on VH1’s controversial program Dating Naked – sexually explicit adult-rated content left open to the viewing of teenagers.
The VH1 show, rated TV-14, shows young adults dating ‘in the buff’. VH1 pixelates the private areas, although that does little to make it more acceptable.
“Most parents would be shocked to find their young teenagers watching this sexually-explicit nude dating show,” said PTC President Tim Winter. “But VH1, in all its wisdom, believes this kind of content is appropriate for middle school and high school aged children.”
Conservative groups such as the Parents Television Council and One Million Moms have fought back. Both have repeatedly urged their supporters to contact companies and ask them to pull commercials from the program.
The end result has been that major advertisers such as Sprint, Samsung and Panera Bread have agreed to stop sponsoring Dating Naked.  The latest company to drop its ads from it is Fruit of the Loom.
Fruit of the Loom released a statement which, according to One Million Moms, read, “Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern. Fruit of the Loom has a family friendly advertising policy that does not permit airing on mature or explicit programming. We are following up with the network to ensure brand advertising does not run during this specific program in the future.”
Monica Cole of One Million Moms said Fruit of the Loom responded to the campaign within “a couple hours” of it being launched.”VH1 should be ashamed to air nudity and then call it entertainment,” Cole wrote. “… This horrendous show, packed full of extremely graphic content, has been extensively marketed to teens.”
This kind of programming feeds yet into the next level or consequence of watching sexually explicit content: the actual practice of fornication by the youth, and the provision of free condoms to them on the premise that “they’ll do it anyway so we need to protect them when they do”.
Although the argument may have sounded plausible to some, time and extensive research has proven it wrong. John Stonestreet, Christian Post guest columnist recently posed the question:
“Remember those so-called “experts” who assured us that condoms would cut rates of fertility and STDs?
A recently released study by University of Notre Dame researchers Kasey S. Buckles and Daniel M. Hungerman has found that access to condoms in schools actually increases teen pregnancies by about 10 percent — that’s right, increases it!
Buckles and Hungerman selected 22 school districts in 12 states that started such programs back in the 1990s, including New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The study analyzed teen-fertility data from nearly 400 high-population counties over a span of 19 years.
Among the contributing factors Buckles and Hungerman cite is the possibility that condom-distribution programs can crowd out efforts to encourage young people to delay sexual activity. Condom-distribution programs may actually encourage more teenagers to have sex,” they said.
Stonestreet further posed the question: “Is this really that surprising? If adults tell teens that the decision to engage in sex is theirs and give them condoms, what message do they receive?”
Michael J. New, an assistant professor of political science at the University of Michigan at Dearborn further alluded to studies confirming the failure of the condom experiments on youth.
“Overall,” said New, “the study adds to an impressive body of research which shows that efforts to encourage contraceptive use either through mandates, subsidies, or distribution are ineffective at best or counterproductive at worst. In many countries, increases in contraception use are correlated with increase in the abortion rate.”
So what should Christian parents and guardians do then to counter the wave of ungodly attitudes and values targeting their children? Stonestreet’s advice: “Teaching our own kids about sex and design and relationships and marriage, while pointing out and countering the lies about sex proclaimed in the culture, is first and foremost our job as parents and as Christian communities.
Still, all indications are that Christian families will be swimming against the tide and fighting an uphill battle against the secular and humanistic culture snowballing across the world today.
Take the case of California Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson who recently proudly announced a new framework that will impose lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered lifestyles into the curriculum as early as the second grade.
The announcement was as usual cloaked in the new politically-correct language and spirit of inclusion and anti-discrimination. The end result is that the concept of the traditional nuclear family with male and female parents raising children is undermined at an age when children are particularly vulnerable to indoctrination.
Editor’s Comment:
So, one should ask, does this make sense to the majority of this country?  Does it fit with the values this country was founded on?  If not, why aren’t parents raising ‘hell’ to get this stopped or isolated from their children?
I just wonder when/if the American public will wake up..?  My guess, when it is far too late…

The American Power Grid

I have written on this subject more than once, but this subject is in my mind the greatest threat to the United States that exists.  In previous articles I have discussed EMP attacks, terrorist attacks on power stations, etc.  Ignoring those threats, there still exists serious threats that are not based on men.  (For more information on threats from men vs. nature, search for ‘grid’ on my blog for relevant articles.

I would strongly suggest reading this topic as it may save you life in the future.  Being prepared is the first step in survival.  Being complacent is the first step in disaster.

First, a little education.

According to the United States Department of Energy, the American power grid is made up of three smaller grids, known as interconnections, which transport energy all over the country. The Eastern Interconnection provides electricity to states to the east of the Rocky Mountains, while the Western interconnection serves the Rocky Mountain states and those that border the Pacific Ocean.

The Texas Interconnected System is the smallest grid in the nation, and serves most of Texas, although small portions of the Lone Star state benefit from the other two grids.

And if you’re wondering why Texas gets a grid of its own, according to the Texas Tribune they have their own grid “to avoid dealing with the feds.” :-)

When you look at the layout of the grid above, it’s easy to see that a single grid going offline would disrupt a huge segment of North America.

To give it to you straight, our national electrical grid works as an interdependent network. This means that the failure of any one part would trigger the borrowing of energy from other areas. Whichever grid attempts to carry the extra load would likely be overtaxed, as the grid is already taxed to near max levels during peak hot or cold seasons.

The aftermath of a single grid going down could leave millions of residents without power for days, weeks or longer depending on the scope of the failure.

So although on the surface it looks like the U.S. has wisely put its eggs into three separate baskets for safer keeping, the U.S. has in essence, lined up our baskets so that if one were to drop, or if the bottom were to fall out, the eggs from basket #1 would fall into basket #2. Which would break from the load, falling into basket #3—eventually scrambling all the eggs. Sorry, Texas.

When multiple parts of the grid fail at the same time, it’s not necessarily more catastrophic—the catastrophe just happens more quickly.

According to Jon Wellinghoff, chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, in an interview with USA Today, “You have a very vulnerable system that will continue to be vulnerable until we figure out a way to break it out into more distributed systems.”

The Grid, by the Numbers

So what are we doing about it??

1. Through the Recovery Act, the DOE invested about $4.5 billion in the power grid since 2010 to modernize it and “increase its reliability”. $4.5 billion seems like a fairly large number, unless you’re talking about a single machine that serves as the lifeblood to nearly every human in North America—a machine that was conceived in 1882 by Thomas Edison—with little changed since then, conceptually speaking. For people who reside in weather-challenged areas, such as my home state of Michigan, a home generator is almost as necessary of an appliance as a microwave, and people are scrambling to go “off-grid” with alternative energy solutions—an act that will not provide them immunity should the lights go out everywhere else. And for what it’s worth, for those of you sporting solar and wind energy, you’re further taxing the grid—the grid just wasn’t designed to accommodate the surges and lulls of such systems, however green you find them.

2. Power outages—just the ones due to severe weather—cost the U.S. economy between $18 and $33 billion annually in spoiled inventory, delayed production, grid damage, lost wages and output. Despite a few billion dollars being thrown at the grid to improve its resiliency or reliability, the number of outages due to weather is expected to increase, assuming that climate change will indeed intensify extreme weather, as some predict.

3. The total annual cost from power outages, per federal data published in The Smart Grid: An Introduction, is a whopping $150 billion.

4. As of 2014, the DOE had generously spent $100 million (million, not billion) into modernizing the grid for the specific purposes of surviving a cyber incident by maintaining critical functions. This would be measures separate from making the grid more reliable.

5. The American Society of Civil Engineers gave the electrical grid a grade of D+ in early 2014 after evaluating the grid for security and other vulnerabilities.

6. The average age of large power transformers (LPTs) in the US is 40 years, with 70 percent of all large power transformers being 25 years or older. According to the DOE, “aging power transformers are subject to increased risk of failure.”

7. LPTs cannot be easily replaced. They are custom built, have long lead times (even 20 months, in some cases), cost millions of dollars, are usually purchased from foreign entities due to limited U.S. capacity, and weigh up to 400 tons. All this means that patching and fixing is likely to be favored over replacement, despite their age and associated risk.

Let’s put all of this into dollars and cents.  The U.S. has invested, from 2010 to 2014, $4.5 billion to modernize the grid, along with an additional $100 million to stave off cyber threats. That’s $4.6 billion over four years, or $1.15 billion per year in upgrades. Next to the $150 billion lost each year due to outages, it looks like someone has done some sub-par calculating..??

What we are certain of, is that severe weather will continue to stress and threaten our power grid. And unless something changes, ultimately, it will fail. So when we talk about reliability, we’re talking about “when” and “for how long” scenarios, not “what if”.

The how-long factor plays a huge role into how bad is “bad”; not because of the events that one knows will follow, which includes mass food spoilage, deaths due to overheating in the hot summer months, deaths due to freezing in the cold regions, and the halting of everything we take for granted these days—airlines, internet and most other forms of communication.

All that sounds pretty bleak, but when you throw into the mix the mania and hysteria that would ensue shortly after such catastrophic events, it will be so much worse. Best-selling author Charles Mackay, in his book Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, does a pretty good job describing, through example, how crowd decisions and reactions are significantly less sensible than individual decisions—sometimes downright nutty, as evidenced by Tulip Mania, where supply and demand—or in this case scarcity and demand, drove up the prices of tulip bulbs to ridiculous levels.

In the context of blackouts, we saw this in 1977, when a lightning strike in New York on a Hudson River substation tripped two circuit breakers, causing power to be diverted in order to protect the circuit. The chain of events that followed ended in an entire blackout for the area, which led to mass rioting, over 1000 deliberately set fires, the looting of 1600 stores, and the eventual arrest of 4,500 perpetrators and the injury of 550 officers, according to some estimates. The power was only out for 25 hours, and in one area.  And that is not taking into consideration the out of control public we have today vs. then!!

In all likelihood, the haves (those who have removed themselves from the grid and prepared accordingly — e.g., generators, etc.) will soon be overrun by the have-nots in the event of any extended blackout, with heavily populated areas taking the brunt of the chaos—and your solar roof panels or generator will not suffice as your savior.

A Bright Note.?

There is currently a rumor that the Texas legislature is considering hardening their own grid from potential EMP attacks.  But that doesn’t account for the scenarios involving ‘natural’ overloads due to grid segments collapsing.  That meaning — saying it again — the public should be aware of our situation and be preparing for potential disasters involving our grid.  But then that would mean ‘informing the public’ of a real potential threat.

Instead we’re be warned about ‘global warming’ and pets being killed at the pound…

And speaking of ‘man made’ disasters — the EMP attack is probably the worst scenario this country could face above all ‘natural’ threats.  To learn about the EMP threat, watch the following video presented by Act! For America with the director of the EMP commission speaking — Dr. Peter Pry.  This is the factual scoop from ‘the man’ that knows.

America’s Future — If Not Careful

The following article came from PNW News and is quite enlightening.  If you read this article and consider recent events in our country, you should see a parallel and indicators of our future if we continue on our current path.  America could grow to be the greater Venezuela if not careful.!!?

America within the next few years will be split into two groups — the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’.  It’s been happening for almost ten years now.  But we’re about to kick this movement into ‘afterburner’.  It is now each individual’s responsibility to take that action necessary to insure their ‘safety‘.

Please take the time to read this article and consider the ‘lesson’ suggested after each topic.  It will bring home how we are taking many of the wrong steps.

What America Must Learn From Venezuela’s Economic Collapse

By PNW Staff August 15, 2016

Venezuela has made the news again this week for yet another low in the history of what anyone would classify as a failed state. Government Decree 9855, issued by President Nicolás Maduro under his broad emergency powers, allows for any Venezuelan to be forcibly relocated to agricultural labor camps in order to combat widespread food shortages.

These forced labor camps are not in punishment for any crime, political or otherwise, but instead yet another failed Communist solution to government mismanagement that will remove ordinary Venezuelans from their jobs and homes and force them onto government-controlled slavery on plantation farms, unable to leave for an extendable period of 60 days.

Now echoing the worst abuses of Stalin and Mao, the slave labor camps, starvation, corruption and disorder that characterize Venezuelan society should serve as a warning to Americans who don’t believe in the consequences of socialist theory in action.

Let’s take a quick survey of how far Venezuela has fallen. Decades before, Venezuela was one of the richest and most prosperous nations in South America. Without the drugs of Colombia and with oil wealth and an educated population that embraced both capitalistic and democratic principles, Venezuela showed great promise. But it also suffered from enormous social inequality.

Hugo Chávez rose to power on the back of a populist movement that promised social welfare to the poor underclass of Venezuelan society. Once in power, however, he nationalized the oil industry and used its profits to fund housing, healthcare and food subsidies for millions.

Over time, the mismanagement of these social programs, the kleptocratic nature of government officials and the sharp drop in oil prices pulled the country further into ruin.

Chávez was replaced by the clownish and inept Maduro, a former bus driver and union organizer who had failed to graduate high school, and Venezuela has rapidly accelerated both its conversion to a communist autocracy and its death spiral as a nation.

Venezuela now has the world’s highest crime rate and its capital of Caracas competes only with the City of Tegucigalpa, Honduras for the world’s most dangerous city. The country has by far the highest inflation in the world, with official numbers found at Statista putting the current rate for 2016 at 481.52%, ahead of South Sudan at 212.44%, Suriname 36.82% and Yemen at 27.54%.

Massive food shortages continue to plague the country and force Venezuelans to wait hours in line to be allowed to buy even a few basic goods when they become available in the mostly-bare store shelves.

Medical supplies have been depleted for more than two years and the failing energy infrastructure is responsible for frequent widespread blackouts. A corrupt government uses its near-complete media control to put down food riots and imprison opposition leaders.

So how did Venezuela get where it is today and how can we avoid the same fate?

1. Currency Controls: The socialist government instituted a regimen of control on foreign currency exchange that requires government permission and central control for any exchange between Bolívares and a foreign currency.

Imports and exports were shut down almost overnight, businesses competed to pay bribes to government officials and the black market for dollars flourished alongside 6 official exchange rates that were rarely used. The government has been locked in a legal battle with the website dollartoday.com to prevent displaying the true exchange rate for the dollar.

Lesson: Centralized currency control doesn’t work, but free markets do.

2. Price Controls: The Chavista government sought to combat inflation by setting a precio justo (fair price) for a growing list of staple products. Vendors selling above this price would have their goods confiscated and could be jailed. The problem is that the precio justo was often significantly lower than the cost of product. Shop owners threw cartons of eggs into the street rather than lose money on each sale and the economy continued is death spiral.

Lesson: Centralized currency control doesn’t work, but free markets do.

3. Red Tape: Socialism meant government control, of everything. Businesses need permits to purchase raw materials, permission to manufacture, specific permissions to ship to the warehouse and then another permission to bring the product to the retail store.

There are fees to be paid, forms to be filled out and the cost of business, for those that can import raw materials, has grown exponentially. Politically uncooperative business owners find their permissions delayed or denied, food products spoiled on the trucks or factories seized “for the people”.

Lesson: Get government out of business. Less regulation helps everyone.

4. Entitlements: The socialist government, known as Chavista, after Hugo Chávez, gained power by promising free benefits to the poor. This redistribution of wealth bought the Chavistas enough votes to gain power, but once in power they were tied to a system of constant handouts of food, housing and community medical technicians.

Now the only way to survive is through the government-subsidized food system. For example, a single chicken or 7 pounds of beans on the open market costs more than a month’s minimum salary.

The free housing the government distributed to millions? The Chavistas neglected to mention that their government retains title to those apartments and, in the last election, the districts that voted for the opposition saw their residents evicted from their free housing.

With the collapse in the price of oil, on which Venezuela depends for 96% of its exports, the system of social entitlements is unsustainable and has led to lines, food riots and a burgeoning black market economy.

Lesson: Wealth redistribution systems are destructive. Liberal policies in the US that buy votes with housing, welfare or free medicine should be seen for what they really are, attempts to buy the votes of the poor with the tax dollars of the middle class.

The US falls deeper into debt every year trying to pay for social programs that, even in the absence of a crash, promise to hobble the economy in the future with crushing interest payments.

5. Imported Voters: Hugo Chávez promoted his social programs and invited the poor and downtrodden from Colombia to immigrate and take advantage of free housing, free food and socialized medicine.

As many as 5.6 million Colombians migrated to Venezuela, either to escape the Colombian conflict or to enjoy a lower cost of living. The Chavistas granted this population, 156,000 of whom had official refugee status, voting rights and further build a party of dependency.

That is until recently when the economic crisis intensified and Colombian communities threw their votes behind the opposition. Then Colombia was blamed, legal immigrants were forcibly deported, families were broken, houses were demolished and Maduro fanned the flames of xenophobia in order to shift attention from his own failed policies.

At the height of the crisis, Maduro promised to allow in 20,000 Syrian refugees in a fresh attempt to import foreign voters.

Lesson: Immigration is healthy when it is controlled, not used to buy voting blocks. The move to allow uncontrolled immigration from the Middle East into the US and plans to grant amnesty to illegal aliens echoes similar plans that have wreaked havoc in Venezuela and Europe.

6. Corruption: The socialist government of the Chavistas is among the most corrupt on the planet. Government officials have become billionaires with Miami vacation homes and Swiss bank accounts while ordinary citizens, earning starvation wages, wait 8 hours or more in line to buy food that may never become available.

For a party that campaigned on bringing down rich oligarchs, the fact that María Gabriela Chávez, the 35-year-old daughter of Hugo Chávez, has $4.2 billion in various bank accounts speaks volumes.

Lesson: Jail corrupt politicians and ban paid lobbying. The US system of corporate lobbyists and corrupt politicians is both an enormous drain on the economy and among the greatest threats to democracy today.

7. Lack of Production: Venezuela’s currency controls and red tape combined with the seizure of factories reduced both imports and domestic production to nearly zero. State-owned factories ceased to produce and entire product categories such as diapers, toilet paper, flour, medicine, cooking oil, car batteries and tires, just to name a few, became unavailable on a national level.

Without oil income, imports or sufficient raw material, widespread scarcities have led to skyrocketing crime, a collapsed health system and starvation.

Lesson: Domestic production and free enterprise are essential for a healthy economy. The US’s trade deficit is not only a macro-economic hindrance but a strategic liability that threatens to cripple the country.

8. Wasteful Spending: In 2015, while Venezuela struggled to feed its citizens amid massive shortages of food, medicine, electricity, automobile parts and pay for government employees, the Chavista government spent more than 500 million dollars to purchase 13 Su-30 Russian fighter jets (after 24 were purchased in 2006).

The memorial built to Hugo Chávez, Cuartel de la Montaña, is a massive stone palace complete with a company of guards that constantly parades its marble halls while the common Venezuelan scrapes for food in the gutters of the slums just outside.

Lesson: Wasteful government spending on unnecessary projects burdens a country with debt and drains its treasury. It ruined Venezuela and it can ruin the United States.

9. Too Much Foreign Aid: Generosity can be a wonderful thing, but Venezuela continued to donate to other nations in the depths of its crisis, selling its gold reserves, oil refineries and taking on more debt to give $400 million to Bolivian public works, $5 million to fight Ebola in Africa, $250 million to rebuild schools in Chile (a far richer nation). Chavistas continued to give freely to fight global warming, improve education in Haiti and a thousand other causes while their own country crumbled.

Lesson: Take care of your own house before giving to others. The US provides $35 billion in foreign aid to 140 countries and although the US is not (yet) in a Venezuela-style economic crisis, it is over $19 trillion dollars in debt.

10. National ID System: Many countries maintain national identification systems with cards issued either at birth or the age of majority. Venezuela has recorded the fingerprints of every citizen and in a truly frightening move that recalls passages from the Book of Revelation, the only access to the cheap, subsidized food is by scanning with your fingerprint at an official supermarket.

Each person has a set limit of products available to purchase each month, ostensibly to prevent hoarding, but the result is that elderly parents, sick spouses and the disabled are forced to wait hours in brutal lines for food.

As Nicolás Maduro proved in the last election, those critical of the government can simply have their already meager food rations cut off by blocking their fingerprints in the national system. With black market prices hundreds or even thousands of times higher, political opposition is tantamount to starvation.

Lesson: National ID systems and biometric data collection is open for abuse by autocratic governments and any attempts to institute such a system in the US should be resisted.

As crazy an idea as the U.S. following these people may seem, we are taking all of the necessary steps to lead us toward a communist state — like it or not.  I’d say to America to ‘wake up’, but I’ve given up on that idea.  Now I just say ‘PREPARE’.!!

Clinton vs. Obama

A brief update on who’s worse..?  Hillary or ‘Barry’..?

I just read an article in the National Rifleman magazine regarding Hillary.  Apparently George (‘The Destructor’) Soros is disappointed in Mr. Obama.  He was quoted as saying that he now wishes he had supported Hillary because she has made it clear that she would have been more receptive to his ‘suggestions’ than Obama has thus far.  Apparently Obama has not had one public meeting with Soros since Obama was elected!

So what does this mean?  Just consider that George’s objective is the downfall of America.  (Much like numerous other countries that he has destroyed.)  If he gets a president who will employ his plans to the letter, that should guarantee his objective much sooner.  A scary thought indeed…
