Giving Up Our Control of The Internet

The internet was first ‘invented’ by universities in the western states (not Al Gore).  Of course, once it took off, the federal government had to be the overseer of it (being the all encompassing entity that it is).  Since, whenever someone wants to create a new website, a specific Internet Protocol (IP) address has to be assigned to it.  That process is controlled by a government entity within the United States.

Currently our emperor is attempting to give control to the internet to a UN based group outside of the U.S.  What this means is that if enough ‘pressure’ is applied, a website may not be able to renew their license and/or continue with their objective — i.e., to communicate information that they want distributed.  In essence, this means we would be giving away our sovereign right to freedom of speech.  Which by the way is one of the few remaining vehicles for the public learning the truth about certain subjects and often learning anything about them!

Some people are not threatened by this ‘minor’ move on Obama’s part.  They believe it’s only some ‘inane technical nonsense’ of no consequence.  But I would argue that this website would not exist if those in the UN found that what I have to say ‘offensive’.  (Not that it could happen!!?)

Read the following article on how the governors of Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Oklahoma are suing the feds regarding this subject.  I would think that if these fours states find this of concern, maybe we should..??

Working Adults — The Trend is Not Good

Americans are being fed statistics that apparently come from some dark place void of conscience and factual information.  We’re told that the economy is booming and that we’re ‘on the road to recovery’..?  Yet the average worker is getting nowhere fast.  Too many people are not working.  Who says so?  Of all places, the Washington Post!  Yes, the left leaning paper back east.

But worse they tell of a trend that is worse than a high unemployment number today.  They talk about the number of people working tomorrow.

A disaster is looming for American men

I’m not sure how to reconcile how our government is going to feed and house that many people in the future..?  One must ask, where will that money come from?

Refugees — The Numbers Just Get Bigger!

A lot of people want to believe in their fellow man, and they find numerous ways of labeling ‘evil’.  Instead of saying that someone who commits an unbelievable act is evil, they call them crazy, stupid, or misguided.  The idea being they don’t want to acknowledge that people can be inherently evil.  This is why I believe our country is continuing on its trek ‘downhill’.  We have lost perspective on how to evaluate right from wrong, and very wrong.

My concern is for our country’s security.  For over 200 years we’ve been bringing people into our country and looking them over with a fine tooth comb.  But today, we’re injecting people without proper vetting, endangering the people of America.  If we had a few of these people I refer to, that would be one thing.  But tens of thousands, it yet another matter.  Sounds like an exaggeration?  Read the following article.

U.S. Admits Record Number of Muslim Refugees

The 2017 targets or projections for the federal government to bring ‘refugees’ into our country is over 200,000!  Considering most are Muslims and that the radical percentage is at least 10%, how safe does that make you feel?  So how do you think this will affect our country in the near future.?!

Safe Zones, Terrorism, and Security

One of the top priorities of the U.S. federal government is the protection of its people.  Yet today, the current regime is doing everything it can to expose the American public to a progressively more dangerous environment.  My opinion?  No.  Even the DHS is warning us of coming threats here in the U.S.

Homeland Security Warns of Attacks

Ah, but it doesn’t end there…  Now ISIS is even threatening knife attacks much like those in Israel.  And, they are now taking the approach of using ‘lone wolves’ to perform these attacks — not ‘organized groups’.  Why?  Because single attackers are harder to find/track than larger groups who have to coordinate or communicate with each other.

ISIS Calls for Random Knife Attacks

So while this goes on, our safety is plummeting here in our once safer country.  My suggested solution to this threat?  To create the ‘Safe Zone Safety Act’ here in Texas (to start).  The idea behind my approach is to create a new level of CHL (concealed handgun license) which requires special training to obtain.  That training could, for example: require a higher level of proficiency with their weapon; special training in high capacity venues; and potentially a testing which would require shoot-don’t-shoot scenarios to test the skill level of the shooter.

As an opening thought, current active and retired law enforcement could be considered for implementation rather quickly.  Having already several years of police training, one would think they could potentially meet the physical and mental requirements that the bureaucrats would require.  But hey, that’s just my thoughts.  What are yours?
