Articles relating to money and savings

Warm and Fuzzy or Sharp and Prickly?

Americans are truly the most welcoming, accepting, generous people on the planet — all good traits.  But with all strengths often come weaknesses.  Our soft hearts for others (and sometimes heads) often find themselves prey for those who are absent American values.

Immigration in this country has gone on for decades — illegally.  Before that people around the world were happy to do anything to get into and stay in this country.  Many of those people became successes with wealth beyond what they originally believed possible.  But today, the attitude is much like to many of those in this country — you have it, I deserve it, you should give it to me — if not, I’ll steal it!

Am I saying all current immigrants are thieves?  No.  But what I am saying is, we are in trouble and far too many are not just willing, but happy to see us destroyed.  When will this be obvious to the majority in America??  My answer, not soon enough.

Read the following blog entry and then ask yourself if you are willing to ‘expose‘ yourself to this sort of vial action against hard working Americans.  It is after all, your money!

Another food stamp fraud bust

Most Americans know that we’re going broke. . .  fast!  But how many know that we’re helping the thieves run us over the economic cliff?  Do people not ask why their government is doing this to them?  Have they not figured out the end objective of all this illogical behavior?  Do they not see that we are being guided, no forced into at 17’th century form of government?

As the kids say today. . .   WTF?

Economics — One World Government

Over recent decades this world has drawn economies together with the (alleged) intent of preventing wars.  But if you think about it, is that not the first step toward creating a one world government?  As they say, isn’t it about the money?

Consider this quoted text from a financial newsletter I received.

The global economy is no longer about making a product in one country, and shipping and selling it somewhere else. It is about complex supply chains that weave together activities all over the globe, supported by investment, technology, and skills that know no borders.

Creating an even playing field is no longer just about reducing external tariffs and quotas, but about coordinating and sometimes revising what have traditionally been seen as domestic policies to “stabilize” agriculture, promote national culture and identity, encourage innovation, protect health and safety, and ensure citizens a certain minimum quality of life.

Critics of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) argue it is no mere “trade” deal, and they are right: more accurately, it is a package of integrated economic policies that will increasingly fuse several national economies into a single marketplace.

Now I don’t know about you, but when you speak to me about ‘countries without borders’ and ‘a single marketplace’, I begin to see one government — several countries without borders between them.  And, if you follow this line of thinking a bit further, you will see competition which strangles the ‘average guy’ when trying to earn a living.  That meaning, that the ‘workers of the world’ should be making much less than they do now comparatively.  Primarily when compared to other countries, it means to me that the American worker will be crushed by what’s coming.

Consider these charts and then ask yourself, “What does this have to do with me?”

Now consider this important point, which jobs are not easily shipped overseas?  What I get out of this information is one had best be keeping up with their skills — not necessarily their list of degrees.

Consider two people:  One goes to college and gets a degree in business, the other gets a degree in nursing.  Which would have a job in tough times?  I would assume the nurse.  Why?  Because he/she has specific technical skills not easily transferred to a factory worker in China.  (And that job also requires you to be where the patient is located.)  Whereas the generalist with the degree in business may be very successful and make a lot of money, he may also be in the unemployment line due to an excess number of similar people fighting for that one job he may want.  Why?  Because this country has an excess of kids getting degrees that get them no job at graduation!!  About 30% of college students today make something exceptional of themselves after graduating college.

Wishing and hoping for success doesn’t work.  Sound planning and hard work bring success.

Yet Another Clue — Part II

In my earlier article (‘Yet Another Clue’), I mentioned the number of people in this country that could not afford an unexpected $400 bill to pay.  Unfortunately I have an update to that article that says the situation may be worse than suggested.  Please read the subsequent article from The Blaze below.

Americans Struggle

Yet Another Clue

We’re doing great!!  Right!?  No?  Awww come on.  We’ve faced the ‘crash’ and survived.  How much better do you want our economy?

The following is an excerpt from a financial report I received today.  These numbers should concern everyone!

According to Fortune magazine, Walmart lost an estimated $3 billion to shoplifting in 2015 and has made reducing theft a key priority for 2016.  [Does this mean there’s desperate people out there?]

Yeah… the job market is great..?  NOT!

Last of all, GoBankingRates, a national website that tracks interest rates, reported that 28% of Americans have ZERO money in their savings account, 13% had less than $1,000, and 21% don’t even have a savings account.

So let me see..?  If we have any sort of economic downturn (which is being predicted by many institutions in this country), how would we expect these people to survive that crash..?  Considering we already have over 47% of the populace on welfare now, wouldn’t this indicate to us that things are going to get reaaaalllyyyy ugly?  Like shoplifting may be one of the least of our worries..?

PREPARE!

Lessons From Venezuela

I have been giving lectures on the state of the U.S. and the creeping ‘progressivism’ which is turning our country into a third world nobody.  Yes, we are somebody today, but at the rate we are ‘collapsing‘, we aren’t going to last much longer with our current management plan!!?

It was not too long ago that Hugo Chavez was viewed as the 21st century hero of the left.  (e.g., Hollywood)  But before he died, he managed to destroy what was left of his country.  Today Venezuela is a total mess!  Mass chaos is the norm throughout the country.

If you put the two commentaries together, you get a good idea of the direction of our country!  Think that’s nuts?  Think again.  There is a lot of evidence that the U.S. is going by way of Rome and Germany.  “What people do not value, they do not keep.”

Lessons From Venezuela

And before you poo-poo the source website or its content, remember that you read this here — don’t act surprised just a few years from now.  Like it our not, our country is becoming a socialist state FAST.  And with our rights being eroded greatly, we’ll sink even deeper — into a communist state!

“When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” ― Benjamin Franklin

Middle Class Shrinks

It’s understood that America is doing great..!?  Unemployment is down, Americans are without worry, their savings are growing..?  Well, that’s what the fed tells us.  But, in reality, things aren’t so sparky when you look at ‘real‘ data.

The following article explains how the middle class, the backbone of America, is shrinking …  quickly!  Which does not bode well for our future since the middle class is what drives this country!

Middle class shrinks

You will find in this article that the parameters for the middle class are being redefined.  To learn where you are (within your area), you can calculate your ranking by using this link.

‘It’s Over’ in 11 Years

Our mounting debt is getting scarier every day.  We all know this can’t go on forever and wonder how long do we have..?  We can guess, but we’re not that scientific.

The following article pretty much answers that question for us — and it isn’t 30 years from now!  If our government’s runaway spending isn’t curbed soon, we’re in for deep trouble!  Soon!

Deficit Is So Huge

Where is Our Money Going?

Here we are almost $20T in debt (and counting) wondering ‘how did we get here’.??  Our government takes our money from us (off the top) and then ‘reinvests it‘ in seemingly worthwhile projects.  Right?

Wrong!

Watch this video and then consider this really isn’t that far outside the norm for the crazies in Washington.  Watch it to the end.  You won’t believe the ‘punch line’ to this story!

U.S. Economy — What Trick is Next?

We have been fortunate (?) enough to witness QE1, QE2, …  And where are we now?  In twice the debt before we started this nonsense.  For those financiers, Keynesian economics doesn’t work.!!

So what about the rest of the world?  We love England — their police don’t carry guns!  They probably know better?  We should be more like them!  (Heard that before?)  Well, read the following article to see what’s happening overseas.  It is reasonable to project that we could experience something similar.  Some day..?

UK Economic Solutions

By the way …  gold has risen almost $250/oz. in the last couple of months.  Think that may relate to something else going on..?   Hmmm..?

The American Dream Is Dead

Every week we hear from the feds via the media how our economy is improving.  Yet I don’t know anyone who says it has affected them in a positive fashion.  We hear that inflation is almost zero.  Yet groceries keep getting more expensive monthly.

The following was taken from the End of the American Dream website — Feb. 4th, 2016.  It really sheds a different set of numbers on our situation than what you hear from CNN, that’s for sure.
