9/11 vs. 11/9

During a discussion last week we came across an interesting ‘coincidence’.??  Everyone knows about 9/11 and what it stands for in this country.  But here’s another interesting date — 11/9.

This coming November we (should) all go a voting poll to determine who our next president will be — the highest powered world leader!  And when does that happen?  On November 8th.  So what is the following day?  Uhhh…  the 9th.!?

I realize that November 9th comes every year, but how often do we have such an important election decision made of this huge importance?  Once again, this could be the biggest decision the people of this country make for a long time.

But my point is (being a ‘believer’), what has the bible to say?  We’ve had a lot of ‘signs’ recently regarding warnings to this country — some of which I’ve written about in this blog.  Well, here’s another one…

I looked up verses in the Christian bible with chapters ‘9’ and verses ’11’.  I found two which were attention getting.

Daniel 9:
11 — All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. “Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you.

Revelation 9:
11 — They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).

Now consider what happened on 9/11 and what we’re about to do on 11/9.  Read these verses again and ask yourself, ‘does this have anything to do with America’?  Maybe?

Personally I’m not a big believer in ‘coincidence’…

September 30th — Internet ‘Change’?

As if we don’t have enough trouble in this world, we now have our ‘administration’ attempting to give control of the world’s internet to of all organizations, the U.N.  Being the largest collection of despots one can imagine, it is reasonable to assume that censorship would be right around the corner with such a group in charge.

The following article information is from the Wallstreet Journal and Washington Post — one scary proposition.  Hopefully someone will come to the rescue and save the internet.

The first step toward the global suppression of free speech on the Internet will take place at midnight on September 30, when the Obama administration cedes control of the World Wide Web to foreign interests.

L. Gordon Crovitz of The Washington Post has penned two pieces outlining the collision course of American free speech. The first, “Stop Obama’s Internet Giveaway” in March, 2016, and a recent follow-up piece called “An Internet Giveaway to the U.N.” discuss the potential fallout of not preventing President Obama from allowing a government contract with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to expire.

Under Obama’s direction, the Commerce Department was charged with ending American oversight and ensure that foreign entities could not make an internet power grab.  Crovitz rightly disagrees with that outcome, stating that “because of the (Obama) administration’s naiveté or arrogance, U.N. control is the likely result if the U.S. gives up internet stewardship…”

Without a U.S. agreement to operate with antitrust exemptions, ICANN would likely seek to be overseen by another agency, organization or foreign power. As a non-profit, the body’s rules and regulations are determined by a board and the shift would be a tremendous opportunity for countries that routinely suppress free speech, such as Russia and China, to infiltrate, gain authority and impose their worldviews on a global scale.

Likewise, the Obama administration has been no friend to free speech. Government employees in the administration have already been accused of suppressing opposing political views.

In particular, the Internal Revenue Service came under scrutiny for targeting conservative political groups and impeding their ability to gain non-profit status before the last presidential election.

In a recent article, The Daily Wire charges that “The lobbying for the end of U.S. control of the Internet intensified due to Edward Snowden. After Snowden’s leaks of the National Security Agency’s government surveillance emerged, ICANN and other foreign governments used the U.S.’s use of surveillance in other countries as reason to end U.S. control of Internet governance.”

Snowden, a whistleblower, leaked classified information which many viewed as war crimes by the U.S. military to the non-profit journalistic organization WikiLeaks. Snowden has been living as an exile in Russia and has been charged in absentia by the United States under the 1917 Espionage Act for absconding with classified documents.

In recent months, WikiLeaks also made a splash by releasing Democratic National Committee communications that suggested the party skewed its dealing against presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Although shutting down an online organization such as WikiLeaks would run contrary to the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment, countries like Russia and China, among others, may be more inclined to end the dissemination of such sensitive materials. Under a different set of standards, such information could be kept from the public going forward.

The Daily Wire goes on to point out that once the U.S. surrenders control over ICANN, “it will likely fall under the (International Telecommunications Unit) ITU’s control and risk being subject to censorship.”

Journalists at both The Daily Wire and Wall Street Journal agree that handing over control could have dangerous ramifications.

“Even more chilling is the fact that ITU had passed a treaty that provided ‘authority to governments to close off their citizens’ access to the global Internet'” and creating ‘a digital Iron Curtain.'”

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Wisconsin Sen. Sean Duffy have introduced a bill to stop the shift in internet power and Investor’s Business Daily noted as far back as three years ago Cruz was concerned about this day arriving.

“The likes of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Chinese President Xi Jinping should not dictate what can be read, written, distributed, bought and sold on the internet,” the former presidential candidate wrote. “Countries that do not give their own people the right to speak freely deserve no say in what Americans can say and do on the internet.”

The Texas senator has also called for potential administrative regulations to prevent opening this Pandora’s Box. And even before the clock strikes midnight on U.S. free speech protections, the seeds of China’s influence are already being sown.

ICANN CEO Fadi Chehadé recently agreed to become a senior advisor to China’s World Internet Conference, which is an organization Beijing has developed directly to compete with ICANN. According to The Washington Post, “Its goal is to replace the open Internet with full government control and global censorship.”

When confronted by Sen. Cruz about China’s internet censorship and relationship with ICANN, Chehade appeared to threaten that if the America retains oversight, it “would have grave repercussions on the U.S.”

Recent studies show that 66 percent of Americans oppose relinquishing control of the internet and 69 percent say that it’s either “somewhat” or “very likely” that a country like China, Russia or Iran would attempt to seize control.

As University of Surrey Prof. Alan Woodward succinctly put it, this is “about who officially controls the foundations of the internet/web addresses and domain names, without which the network wouldn’t function.”

Criminal vs. Cultural Behavior

If a person here in America commits a crime, we typically see it as an ‘anomaly’.  They’re obviously defective in some way..?  But what if the perpetrator believes there is nothing wrong with his behavior?  Is that better or worse than the first case mentioned?

I write on this topic because we are bringing into this country thousands of ‘refugees’ who are ‘fleeing oppression’.  Yet many of those people represent a much higher crime rate than the average American citizen.  If their culture says criminal behavior (to us) is alright, are they a bad person?  Consider the following example and then ask yourself if we want more of this behavior and social viewpoint?

Cultural Differences

Imagine if you will our future, say in 2050.  What do you think our country would look like if we continue this insanity?  How do you think our grand children will like it?  Worse, the great-grand children!

Warm and Fuzzy or Sharp and Prickly?

Americans are truly the most welcoming, accepting, generous people on the planet — all good traits.  But with all strengths often come weaknesses.  Our soft hearts for others (and sometimes heads) often find themselves prey for those who are absent American values.

Immigration in this country has gone on for decades — illegally.  Before that people around the world were happy to do anything to get into and stay in this country.  Many of those people became successes with wealth beyond what they originally believed possible.  But today, the attitude is much like to many of those in this country — you have it, I deserve it, you should give it to me — if not, I’ll steal it!

Am I saying all current immigrants are thieves?  No.  But what I am saying is, we are in trouble and far too many are not just willing, but happy to see us destroyed.  When will this be obvious to the majority in America??  My answer, not soon enough.

Read the following blog entry and then ask yourself if you are willing to ‘expose‘ yourself to this sort of vial action against hard working Americans.  It is after all, your money!

Another food stamp fraud bust

Most Americans know that we’re going broke. . .  fast!  But how many know that we’re helping the thieves run us over the economic cliff?  Do people not ask why their government is doing this to them?  Have they not figured out the end objective of all this illogical behavior?  Do they not see that we are being guided, no forced into at 17’th century form of government?

As the kids say today. . .   WTF?

Aurora Shooting Fallout

Today unbelievable things are happening in this country.  But not to be outdone, consequences of those things are unimaginable!!  If you think the Aurora shooting was dramatically unbelievable, read the following ‘fallout’ article.

Four survivors of the July 20, 2012, movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colo., are on the hook for nearly $700,000 in legal fees after their lawsuit against Cinemark failed earlier this year. A Colorado law allows the winning side of civil cases to seek costs from the plaintiffs, and a judge ruled this week in favor of the theater, ordering the plaintiffs to pay Cinemark’s hefty legal bill.

Over 40 survivors of the attack have been trying to sue the theater chain for the last four years, according to an in-depth report from the Los Angeles Times. The plaintiffs argued that the theater’s relaxed security measures allowed the shooter—then-25-year-old James Holmes—to enter the theater and fire into the audience unchallenged.

After the lawsuit failed at the state level, the victims took their case to federal court. At the conclusion of the proceedings, U.S. District Judge R. Brooke Jackson informed the survivors he was planning to rule in favor of the theater—Cinemark could not have known Holmes was planning an attack, and even increased security measures would not have stopped him.

Jackson urged the plaintiffs to settle with Cinemark, and the victims were prepared to take the theater’s offer of $150,000 split among the 41 plaintiffs, according to the Times. The theater would also commit to taking additional measures to protect its patrons.

But one of the plaintiffs rejected the deal at the last minute. Two of her children had been killed in the shooting: one who was with her and one she was carrying. The gunshot wounds she sustained also left her paralyzed.

“It was done then,” Marcus Weaver, one of the survivors, told the Times. Thirty-seven plaintiffs immediately removed themselves from the case. The four who remained now owe the theater chain nearly $700,000.

“Theaters aren’t any safer,” Weaver said. “It’s almost like everything was for naught.”

If Cinemark had lost the case, theaters around the country could have been forced to beef up their security measures—a costly proposition for theaters already running a tight budget and one that would have increased ticket prices, according to the NY Daily News.

Cinemark may have won its day in court, but Colorado gun owners are still fighting to repeal the gun control measures passed in the wake of the attack. Universal background checks and a magazine ban are still in place, but the State Senate recently passed a repeal of the magazine restriction. That legislation should be considered by the House next legislative session.

When do you think we’ll catch on?!  Which is right, ‘safe zones’ or reasonable security?

Kalifornia — An Indicator of Our Future?

People often ask why I moved from California to Texas.  Typically I hesitate trying to think of a succinct response.  But in that moment a ‘flood of reasons’ fly into my head.  At one time I thought I found the best place to live in the world — California.  Today, I hate even visiting there.

I hesitate to suggest it, but believe it isn’t totally out of the realm of reason to believe that California is the de facto leader of this country.  After all, look at the number of trends that started there..?

So now that once great state is leading the way toward the outlawing of guns — not a few, but most.  The following are the gun laws being sought by the lawmakers in Sacramento.  If you’re a gun owner, this should have you very worried!  You could become a felon as of January 1st and may not even know it!

  • AB 1135 (Levine) Firearms: assault weapons – Expand the definition of assault weapons based on whether a semiautomatic firearm has a detachable magazine, banning thousands of popular firearms [e.g., hunting rifles]
  • AB 1511 (Santiago) Firearms: lending – Make it illegal to loan a firearm to a person who is personally known to you (except for family members with restrictions)
  • AB 1673 (Gipson) Firearms: unfinished frame or receiver –  Expand the definition of a firearm to partially finished frames and receivers and require their registration [probably upper/lower receivers for AR’s]
  • AB 1674 (Santiago) Firearms: transfers – Make it illegal to buy or receive more than one firearm in any 30 day period
  • AB 1695 (Bonta) Firearms: false reports –  Expand the definition of a firearm to partially finished frames and receivers (no definition of what this means) and require their registration [probably upper/lower receivers for AR’s]
  • SB 880 (Hall) Firearms: assault weapons – Expand the definition of assault weapons based on whether a semiautomatic firearm has a detachable magazine, banning thousands of popular firearms [e.g., hunting rifles]
  • SB 894 (Jackson) Firearms: lost or stolen: reports – Make it a crime not to report lost and stolen firearms to law enforcement
  • SB 1235 (de Leon) Ammunition –  Require authorization to buy ammunition and track what and how much ammunition each person buys, creating a database of ammunition purchasers
  • SB 1446 (Hancock) Firearms: magazine capacity – Make it illegal to possess magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds no matter how long a person has owned them [no grandfather clause]

And by the way, these laws apply to current and retired police also!  For example, imagine having what used to be a hunting rifle with a five shot magazine which would have never been considered an ‘assault rifle’, and now it is on the banned list in the great communist state of California.  One must wonder how many more people will be bailing out of there because of this ‘issue’..?

And people wonder why there’s so many homes being built in Texas lately.

American Exceptionalism

Many of you can remember our ’emperor’ Obama once saying that America is not an exceptional country.  Many of you were were incensed by that statement, and reasonably so.  Since, we’ve been waiting for a leader who believes in our unique status in the world and who celebrates it — by his actions and words.

Check out a statement once made by Donald Trump on this topic.  Regardless of what he says today, do you believe him then or now?

And trust me, Hillary is just as bad or worse.  But neither of them believe in the reason why we are exceptional and/or don’t understand the history behind that statement.  They apparently either don’t know or don’t care that our founders created a new society in this country that was truly based on unique principles that did not exist anywhere else at the time.  Consequently they created a country that became highly successful and was a template for success — for other countries to follow.

I guess that’s why they don’t teach history in this country any longer..?   :-(

‘Refugee’ Update Here in the U.S.

Although I receive dozens of updates on the ‘refugee program’ every week, I’ve chosen to (re)post just a handful of them to give you an idea of how it’s going.  I think the conclusion you come to is, we’re going to be in trouble soon..?

High Costs of Resettling Refugees

Don’t you feel fortunate being able to spend a LOT of our tax dollars supporting non-working ‘refugees’ here in America who typically don’t even support our way of life?  Especially when it costs so little to support them in their current neighborhood.

Norway’s Boarder Fence

Who says the Russians are dummies?  They’ve obviously figured out their refugee problem.

More Refugees and More MONEY for FY2017

Take note of the number of ‘refugees’ they plan on adding in 2016 and 2017.  Click on the RCUSA link to read the actual text.  And when you read their projected numbers consider this, the generally accepted bottom number estimate for fundamentalist or radicals is 13%.  Do the math and ask yourself how long it will take for this country to be one big war zone..?

If you think we’re not under attack, you’ve obviously not been paying attention.  Our own government has been keeping the boarders open for decades letting ‘illegals’ come into the U.S. for a reason — not necessarily the ones you’ve heard.  People have argued for some time ‘why’ this has been allowed — by the left and the right.  Now we’re bringing people into this country that should be an obvious threat to the well-being of the U.S. citizens.

Regardless if you agree with my view as to the ‘why’, one thing should be clear and not arguable — our country is changing into a third world environment.  Fast!!

I recognize you can’t do anything but vote people into office to alter our course.  But I’d suggest you also prepare for what’s next.

The Millennials On Campus

If you are over 40 and ever went on a college campus, you might have seen somewhat of a ‘liberal’ behavior.  In the evening it may have appeared even more ‘extreme’ regarding behavior.  It would seem that our kids today have lost all restraint and believe there are no limits to their actions in public.

The following article shows how a TEXAS campus with thousands of kids are behaving in today’s society — in a world where the ‘educated’ are demonstrating to the ‘others kids’ (i.e., less fortunate) how to behave.  Pretty scary.

How would you like to see your daughter in that video??!

Russia’s Ambitious Plans

In my recent post ‘U.S. Military Readiness‘ I discuss our military readiness — which is not good.  If there was nothing but peace and tranquility in the world it wouldn’t matter.  But we have anything but peace in the world.  Besides the middle east being on fire, and now Turkey getting sucked into the ‘mess’, Russia is now making its moves toward world war.

Putin being an ex-KGB high ranking agent, has plans to reinstate the Soviet Union and to become the world power that he has always believed it should be.  Besides building up the country’s military might, he has already taken Crimea and is now moving forward to the Ukraine.  The following article describes his current actions plus the nuclear capabilities that Russia has developed over recent years.

The good news is, we may not be worried about the economy much longer.  But that problem may get replaced with yet a bigger one..?

Russia & The Ukraine

I’m sure there are some military types that will argue the capabilities of Russia vs. America, but we all know that ‘the administration’ has pretty much crippled our military.  Unless ‘someone’ picks up the gantlet and gets our ‘act together’ quick, we could be in serious trouble in the near future..?

Recent news – What is said, and what "isn't".
